Conference Registration
Only fully completed and signed registration forms can be accepted. The registration can only be confirmed after receipt of the full payment. Please also see the registration details within this 2nd announcement, which are also effective as part of the General Terms & Conditions.
Hotel Booking Procedures
Your reservation will be confirmed once K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG has received your hotel booking form, together with your credit card information. You will then receive written confirmation of the booking. As a reservation guarantee, K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG will forward your credit card information to the hotel. Depending on the payment policy of each hotel, your credit card may be charged by K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG and/or the hotel in advance (not earlier than 4 weeks prior arrival) with a deposit or the total amount due. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
After July 15, 2007, K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG cannot guarantee a hotel room or the preferential rate, although K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG will make every effort to meet participants’ requirements. If you check-out before the confirmed date of departure or In the case of a no-show, the hotel or K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG reserve the right to charge you for all the nights booked and confirmed on the registration form or confirmation letter.

All changes and cancellations can only be made in writing. Changes of names and room types can be made through K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG until September 12, 2007. Changes less than 2 weeks prior to arrival must be made directly at the hotel. Cancellation must still be made through K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG.
K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG will charge a processing fee of € 30,00 for cancellations received before June 18, 2007. For cancellations received between June 19, 2007 and August 15, 2007 one full nights accommodation costs will be charged by K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG. For later cancellations or no-show, the cancellation charges (depending on the hotels" cancellation policy, which can range from 1 full night to the total accommodation cost) will be debited by the hotel or K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG.
Tours
All tours are based on a minimum number of 25 participants. These tours will take place on a deluxe motor coach with an English speaking guide. Any entrance fees for planned museum or castle visits are included. The full-day-tour includes a 3-course meal with 2 soft drinks or beers. Should the minimum participant number of 25 not be reached, K.I.T. reserves the right to cancel the tour. Prices may be subject to change for exceptional reasons beyond the control of K.I.T. Tickets for sightseeing tours and excursions are not refundable, unless the tour is cancelled by K.I.T. for the above mentioned reason.
Liability
K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG shall be liable in the framework of aduty of care as a respectable businessman according to statutory provisions. The liability of K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG – for whatever legal reason – shall be limited to intent and gross negligence. The liability of commissioned service providers shall remain unaffected by this. All participants shall take part in the conference and all events in relation to the conference at their own risk. Oral agreements shall not be binding if these have not been confirmed in writing by K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG.
Data Protection
ISPAD and K.I.T. GmbH & Co. KG will collect and store all personal data for the preparation and execution of the 33rd Annual Meeting of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes. Data will not be passed on to third parties without the explicit agreement of the participant. Data protection is warranted in accordance with the German Data Protection Act and the Tele Service Data Protection Act.
Fulfillment and Jurisdiction
This contract is subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of fulfillment and jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany. The terms of this contract shall be fulfilled in Berlin, Germany. In the event of any legal claims arising from either party,
Berlin, Germany shall likewise be the sole court of jurisdiction.
